THINK BIG!!

Image
Think Big : It’s very true that not many people believe that they can move mountains and as a result not many people THINK BIG. Having participated in the trend "#ThinkBigSundaywithMarsha " I have been inspired to come up with this article. With almost half of the educated youths in Africa unemployed, it is a worrying situation for the continent because the future is looking Uncertain for these Youths. I believe that by encouraging young people to start small in whatever they can actually change the way they think and create heavy businesses out of the micro firms with time. I have continually said that having youths believe in entrepreneurialism and digital innovations can play a part in contributing to positive change in the region. Getting 13 to 25 year olds thinking like entrepreneurs, will give them the support they need to take the initiative, be self-reliant and learn the skills they need to stand out in today's economy. Its also important for the ...

HOW TO FIND A NEW JOB IN 60 DAYS

Image
I have always found myself thinking more about the job industry in our country than any other thing. Despite the fact that jobs are very few in our economy, many job seekers have not taken steps to get found by Recruiters. Its on that note that I grab my weapons (Pen and Paper) like I always do and tackle this complicated problem of unemployment. The following points are both helpful to those who are fresh from University & Colleges and those who have lost jobs in the past but are still actively seeking opportunities. 1. Maximize your use of time . Use your time well and find out the factors that are hindering you from being hired. If it’s driven by the lack of long-term career growth, lack of experience, then start scratching, get involved in as many charity organization campaigns as possible. This will actually inform the recruiters that you are a serious team  player and it is most likely that they will now under look that factor of 3 to 4 years experience. 2...

This is the best message I can ever give out to the world where many are poor, homeless and have been torn apart by diseases, floods  and wars. My name is Mwebya Fred and I have written this message to encourage the whole world. Please do not read this alone ,share it with a friend ,workmate or relative and encourage them too. Love and Peace is all I can wish the whole world. To make an impact you do not need to live for 100 years. There are so many times when we stop and start wishing we could change yesterdays moment and make it better today. Thank God you are here reading this post because everything you are about to read is reality if it has not happened to you, do not worry share it with those that might be in need of some motivations. You can not change yesterday but you can do something today that can change tomorrow. It does not matter how you were born, that was yesterday. It does not matter what happened the last 5 years or 10 years -You may not be able to change...

COULD TECHNOLOGY HOLD ANSWERS FOR YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT?

Image
"At every level, there is work to be done to support the teaching of computer science, both in school and out of school… We are in an age of austerity. No one can expect government and schools to do this all on their own. Business not only needs to contribute, but is "very keen" to do so, he adds. "There's a lot of skepticism about the motivations behind [the private sector] doing it. But, in many respects, we're helping young people, we're helping the economy, and we're helping ourselves as well." Youth unemployment , the song that goes beyond boundaries, very painful to those that hear its lyrics and echoes of its beats everyday. Shockingly,  the pain of youth unemployment is shared between the victims and their parents, who not only remember their hard earned money they injected into educating their off-springs but calmly feel the pain of their foregone.   Could technology hold answers for Youth Unemployment? In my own view I certain...

YOUR HATRED FOR SOCIAL NETWORKING COULD BE THE REASON YOU ARE STILL UNEMPLOYED.

Image
I don't blame you ,its a usual case that so many people fear to talk about What they do in public thinking it really does not matter to the world, Listen this is a grave mistake individuals make when it comes to Social Events Like the wise saying goes "No man is an Island" this stands to be true because an isolated man is in a wilderness of ideas and opportunities . It was in the evening of  Thursday 5th March 2015 when I set off for Village Mall Bugolobi, Kampala Uganda  for the Information Communication Technology Association of Uganda (ICTAU) Local Area Network(LAN) social event. Being a guy that tries to get to the venue on time ,I got there 20 minutes to the indicated time. Little did I know this was the evening that was going to link me to the Brains behind the latest innovations in the Technological space in Uganda and East Africa at large. Just to give you a feel, can you imagine sharing an evening with the brains behind UGO Uganda, PC tech...

Women’s Economic Empowerment and Inclusive Growth To Enhance Development.

Image
"  Not only does women’s access to employment and education opportunities reduce the likelihood of household poverty but resources in women’s hands have a range of positive outcomes for human capital and capabilities within the household " As we are preparing to celebrate the International Women's day on the 8th March ,I am focusing all my efforts in the on this issue of women empowerment and inclusive growth to enhance development. The Inter-American Development Bank (2010) defined women’s empowerment in terms of ’expanding the rights, resources, and capacity of women to make decisions and act independently in social, economic, and political spheres . I am very sure that for those of us who follow the current issues that we have seen women take over very powerful positions in politics and organizations. One would wonder why it took so many years for women to rise to high ranking positions of authority and responsibility. For this Women Economic Empowerment and ...
