Laugh and Laugh

Image
You may laugh and laugh. Laugh at our lot, Laugh until your ribs ache, Look at us with contempt Ridicule and belittle us Avoid us like Plague………….. You may laugh and laugh. This destitution and ailment Poverty and Deprivation Are not of our making We neither will nor desire them We are circumstantially so, Because you, Who laugh and Make merry In your aggrandizement Greedily grab the common man’s share You may lough and laugh, That hypocritical look Of pity and concern Wipe off your face For we see through it. Enjoy your Laugh While we gnash our teeth; We have no remorse but, One day, the tide will change Then, those who laugh last Shall laugh best. Many Ugandans are already embracing the convenience that e-commerce offers and entrepreneurs are benefitting thanks to the rate at which online platforms such as Kaymu, Hello Food, Lamudi and Jumia among others are springing up. Shopping online has many conveniences. One of them is that buying online helps you to save money. Below are three ways which helps you save money by shopping online. Online Stores can afford to quote cheaper prices The first way by which shopping online can save you money is that online stores can afford to sell products at a cheaper price than what is obtainable in brick and mortar stores. The Comfort Zone.

Image
The Webster Dictionary says that comfort is "relief from pain; ease; rest or moderate pleasure after pain, cold or distress or uneasiness of body."  The basic problem, too many people seek a comfort level where there is no pain or discomfort.  The reality is that what you're able to accomplish in life is determined by the number of times you leave your "comfort zone" to take on new challenges even though you know you're going to experience some pain, grief, or even a failure. Its my usual trend to address myself to the African Youths, however today I intend to focus my words to each and everyone who enjoys comfort zones whether in their daily work, academics, public service or even own businesses. The biggest challenge with individuals who do not want to move out of the comfort zone is that they always produce mediocre results at the end of the day. A student who always hates taking revisions before an exam will merely pass the exam unlike the student

Is Lawlessness Eating Up Our Society??

David Ojok who was lynched by students of Nkurumah Hall on Monday evening After learning about the death of  David Ojok, a former ICT student who completed his degree course at the University last year was lynched by students who were reportedly mobilised by the Hall chairman. Its baffling and mind disturbing as to what has gone wrong with Uganda's oldest University. I do not in anyway intend to attack anyone in the management of this University and the government officials in charge of Higher Education, but I am blaming we the Ugandans that have seen worse situations happen but have decided to keep quiet. For example , Can I assume that Makerere Students do not have an internal police post within the University or they do not know its use? Its so sheepish how such an incident where a very strong youth who completed an IT course last year was completely erased off the earth through very painful circumstances. Yes its true, that we all do not seem to care about these acti

CANCER!! The 21st Century Monster .

Image
The Late Rosemary Nankabirwa Its with deep pain that I pay Tribute to the Fallen Ugandan Journalists who have all succumbed to Cancer. Its very alarming and worrying that in a very short time the country has lost three strong figures in the field of journalism. Cancer the disease that has claimed many important lives and caused many repetitive operations to those that continue to survive with it. Just less than five months , Uganda has lost three prominent journalists namely  Dan Kyazze,72 years who passed on in February. Not so long after that tearful moment the monster claimed yet another life of Veteran Journalist Bbale Francis, 61years  who succumbed to cancer at the beginning of April. Fallen TV and Radio Journalist Dan Kyazze In recent breaking News is the demise of NTV Uganda News anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa who succumbed to adreno-cortical carcinoma , cancer of the adrenal gland on Sunday afternoon at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Rosemary breathed her las
