Uganda's leading online property marketplace, Lamudi Uganda Marks 2 Years.

The event was attended by real estate agents, brokers, developers,stakeholders James Saaka Executive Director National Information Technology Authority (NITA-U) as the guest speaker and representatives from various organisations such as DFCU and many more . Lamudi Country Manager Shakib Nsubuga shared some of the achievements of 2015, as well as the future plans for the company in the coming year.
Lamudi Uganda once again awarded individuals and agencies who have played an important role in the real estate industry through their online platform. The award criteria was based on factors including - good customer service, vast number of property listings, quality images and payment consistency,  among other considerations.
 

The agencies that walked away with the awards on that evening include:
Synergy Champion - Park Hospitality, Best Customer Service - Summit Properties, Outstanding Contribution - Rent Wide, Best Residential Agency - Property Agent 175, Best Commercial Agency - Property Services, Best Developer Large scale - Crane Management and Best Developer (Affordable Housing) - Universal M Enterprises

Shakib Nsubuga, Country Manager of Lamudi in Uganda, said: “We opened the Lamudi Office officially in Uganda in October 2013 and it has been a success due to a highly dedicated team in Uganda and Berlin as well as the real estate practitioners that have trusted us to market their properties professionally. We would not have made it without our clients who have used our portal on several occasions to find their real estate solutions.”


Lamudi continues to establish a firm presence in the real estate market in Uganda through the Dial4Home platform were property-seekers can contact them through their toll free line. With other innovative features such as an online mortgage calculator and a mobile application they have made house hunting easier especially with the demand for affordable property  at an all time high in Uganda.

Lamudi Uganda has generated over 20,000 leads for its agents in 2015 with 65% of the leads delivered via phone. “According to our online data we have seen a 16.05% increase in property searches up country and a 24.52% dip in property searches in the central region. This shows that we will begin to witness real estate growth in other parts of the country in 2017” he added.
